About Crow Cutz
OUR HISTORY
Crown Cutz Academy Bristol, originally established as Bristol School of Hair Design in March 1992, has been a beacon of excellence in cosmetology education. Under the visionary leadership of Ann West from July 1994, the academy, then known as Bristol School of Hair Design, significantly expanded its program offerings. Despite the sad passing of Ann West in October 2020, her legacy thrives under the new ownership of Craig Charles and Kennedy Pascal. They have not only upheld the school's esteemed reputation but have also rebranded it as Crown Cutz Academy Bristol, ushering in a new era of educational excellence.
From its humble beginnings with a single course, the academy has grown impressively. Today, Crown Cutz Academy Bristol boasts a diverse range of programs including Cosmetology, Master Barber, Barber (Virginia), Nail Technology (Virginia), Manicuring, Basic Esthetics (Virginia), Esthetics, Master Esthetics, and Instructor Training across multiple disciplines. This expansion reflects the academy's commitment to providing comprehensive and state-of-the-art education in beauty and personal care.
Strategically located at 805 Commonwealth Avenue in Bristol, VA, Crown Cutz Academy Bristol enjoys a unique position less than a mile from the Tennessee state line. This advantageous location allows the academy to offer specialized courses that cater not only to Virginia's requirements but also to those seeking licensure in neighboring states like Tennessee.
For over a quarter of a century, Crown Cutz Academy Bristol, building on the foundation laid by Bristol School of Hair Design, has been at the forefront of nurturing talent and empowering students to embark on successful careers in the beauty industry.
